In the age of COVID-19, video conferencing has taken off. Companies that lacked or never used the video element of web conferencing started to do so. People who used to turn their cameras off for online meetings started turning them on. Zooming became a verb as more and more people are starring in, supporting, or playing bit roles in online meetings, classes, and events.
The good news is that leading video conferencing providers have been fixing a lot of the technical and security glitches that have plagued them in the past.
The bad news is that many people are still unsure how to create a high-quality video presence, even though there in video meetings every day. Bad lighting, poor sound quality, and lousy camera angles not only detract from how we look and sound but also distract from the messages we are trying to get across.
Now, most of us aren’t going to invest in new equipment to improve how we come across on video conferences. But, as I learned from Drew Appolonia, Video Manager at BorrowLenses, you don’t have to. Although BorrowLenses is the Internet’s top destination for renting the latest photographic and video equipment, Drew has created a fun video that will help all of us look and sound better on the videos we do from our laptops.
If you want to look and sound great at your next video meeting, check out this 5-minute video for some easy, quick tips to up your game. And, if you want to take it up a notch, the BorrowLenses YouTube page has lots of great tips, from green screens to live streaming.
